The Day of Qiyaamah

In the name of ALLAH the most Beneficent the most Merciful

Every person looks to what he has sent forth for his future life in the Hereafter. Whatever good you send ahead for yourself, you will find it as a reward in Aakhirah (Hereafter). ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala is so merciful that He will increase this reward many fold.

The day of Qiyaamah (Resurrection) will one day be upon us and the trumpet will be blown to signal the arrival of this fateful day. ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala, in His infinite wisdom, has concealed the time of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection). It is on the day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection) that every single soul will be rewarded or punished for its efforts. The individual who receives his record of action in his right hand will be bound for Paradise while the individual who receives his record of action in his left hand will be bound for the blazing fires of Hell.

This unfortunate person, whose destination is Hell, will see that his wealth is of no avail. The people of Jannah (Paradise) will ask the people of Jahannam (Hell) what has caused them to enter Hell and receive its severe punishment! The people of Jahannam (Hell) will reply thus: firstly, that they did not used to offer Salaah; secondly that they did not used to feed the poor; thirdly that they used to talk falsehood with vain talkers; and finally that they used to belie the day of Recompense.

A time will soon come when they will face death; only then will they realise the error of their ways but it will be too late. The day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection) is such a terrible day that even the wild beasts will be gathered together. It will be a day when no person shall have the power to do anything for another. Indeed, man will return to ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala with his good or bad deeds from this duniya (world) and he will certainly meet the consequences of his actions.

A person of good deeds is a fortunate one, and provided that their account is not questioned, their records of deeds will be presented just as a formality. The person who will be called to account on the day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection) will be ruined. Imagine how merciful ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala is towards His obedient servants! Therefore, one must pay thanks to ALLAAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala by saying: O ALLAH! All praises are for You, You are the light of the heavens and the earth, You are the maintainer of the heavens and the earth, You are the Rabb of the heavens and the earth. You are the truth, Your word is the truth, Your promise is the truth, paradise is the truth, hell is the truth and the day ofQqiyaamah is the truth. O ALLAH! We submit ourselves to You, believe in You, depend on You, and repent to You. So please forgive our sins.”

A wise person is one who takes precautionary measures to save himself, from the wrath of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala. No doubt, the punishment of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala is severe and painful. Yet ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala is most forgiving and merciful, full of love towards pious persons who have Imaan and are sincere in their good deeds.

Without any doubt the day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection) is the true day. So seek a place with your Cherisher by obeying Him in this worldly life. The warning has been given to us of this near torment, since the day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection) is not far away; the day when people will face the consequences of their deeds which their hands have sent forth. It is the time when the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust and did not have to face this day of Qiyaamah."

The day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection) is that day when sinners will be unable to speak, because their mouths will be sealed and their limbs will start giving evidence against them. After the testimony of their limbs, they will not be permitted to offer any excuse. Eternal misery and torment will be the punishment that rejecters of the day of Qiyaamah  (Resurrection) will have to face.

May ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala save us from the misery of the day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection) and through His mercy may He enable us to be amongst the pious, that we might serve humanity in the best possible manner. An enormous number of people are unaware of the consequences of rejecting the teachings of the Prophet Muhammed (SAW), thereby denying the day of Qiyaamah, (Resurrection).

Supplication (Du’aa)

In the name of ALLAH the most Beneficent the most Merciful

Supplication is the essence of worship. Therefore call on your Sustainer, humbly and secretly. ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala accepts the supplication of an individual whenever he/she makes a supplication to him.  ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala responds to the distress of a person, when he/she calls upon Him, and removes there hardship.

This duniya (world) is a test. Various calamities afflict a person in there day to day life. Only ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala has the power to protect us, from the adversities of this life. Health is a gift from ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala and it is He, who saves us and protects us from calamities and various diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, hepatitis etc.

A true slave of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala continually seeks the mercies of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala, by becoming a true follower, of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the seal of prophets and messenger of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala.

The truthful Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was the most perfect human being ever seen. He was the reflection of mercifulness of our only creator, the only being worthy of worship, and the only Sustainer of the entire creation, whose personal name is ALLAH.

For the prosperity and the benefit of mankind of all the eras, irrespective of their race and nationality, the last messenger of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala taught us, how to supplicate, so as to get the desired results which one can expect ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala.

Some of the supplications are mentioned here which are as follows:

“OH ALLAH! Before you I have submitted, in you do I believe, in you do I place my trust, to you I have turned and it is through your help that I dispute, and to you have I presented my case. Forgive me, and my past and future sins, and what I committed in private and in public. Surely you alone send forward, and hold back. There is none worthy of worship except you.”

“OH ALLAH! I seek refuge in you from evil manners, deeds and desires.”

“OH ALLAH! Set right this religion (Islam) for me which is the refuge, for all my affairs? Set right this world for me in which is my livelihood. Set right the hereafter for me in which is my final abode. Let this life (of duniya) be a source of increase in every good and let death be a source of peace from every evil.”

“OH ALLAH! Guide me and keep me upright.”

“OH ALLAH! Forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, pardon me, and provide me with sustenance.”

Always remember that we cannot have a respectful and peaceful life without becoming a true Muslim, and a true human being and a true obedient slave of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala, and a true follower of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) who is the beloved of billions and billions of people for the last fourteen centuries, and will remain beloved forever.

Punishment

In the name of ALLAH the most Beneficent the most Merciful

ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala knows the condition of everything he has created. He himself is ever living. ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala is the Maintainer of everything. His knowledge and His power extend over the heavens and the Earth. There is none who speaks more truth than ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala.

When the ear piercing sound of the trumpet is heard, announcing the advent of the day of Judgement, it is on that day, when a person will remember, what actions he committed in this duniya (world), and he will have to face the consequences of punishment, due to his/her bad actions, and disobedience.

Time and again ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala punishes the sinner, in this life as well, and we are given many examples of this occurrence:

ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala sent Moosa (AS) (Moses) with many miracles to Fir'oun (Pharaoh) and his ministers, but they continually rejected these miracles. To punish them for their kufr (revolt), ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala seized them, and they met their demise, by being drowned.

Moosa (AS) filled a well with water and made du'aa (Supplication). As a result of his du'aa (Supplication) the water had such an effect that if an immoral woman had drunk from it, her face would have turned black and she would have suffered an immediate death! This is the punishment of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala given to the sinners of this duniya (world).

It is extremely evil for a person to make a Wish against a prophet, or his followers. Unfortunately, a man named Bal'am Ba'oor committed this grave mistake and he was punished, when ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala seized him.

There was a village at the sea side where the majority of its inhabitants used to disobey Allah Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala. They were prohibited from fishing on Saturdays, yet the temptation to fish was so great, that they failed to abide by the prohibition. ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala seized those who disobeyed his command, and as punishment they were transformed into monkeys, three days after which they all died.

There was an orchard, and the owners of this orchard wanted to pluck the fruits of their orchard for themselves, with no intention of giving a share, to the miskeen (poor). To punish them for their selfishness, ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala sent fire to burn down the orchard, during the night, thereby depriving the owners of their orchard. This is how ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta’aala punishes, those who commit sin!

When the Quraish refused to obey the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), it was then, that the Prophet Muhammed (SAW) invoked Allah Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala to afflict them with years of drought. They faced draught and severe exhaustion, so much so that they were forced to eat bones. A man would look towards the sky and imagine seeing something like smoke between him and the sky, because of the severity of his hunger. This was the punishment in the duniya (world) that was given to the people of Quraish.

Such is the seizure of Allah Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala, when he seizes the people while they are doing wrong. Verily his punishment is painful and severe. Therefore, there is a sure lesson for those who fear the torment of the hereafter. The day of Recompense is the day when all the dwellers of the heavens and the earth will be present for the reckoning.

The punishment in this duniya (world) is given by ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala in order to make people realise, the error of their ways, and thereby provide them with the opportunity to repent, so that they may return to the path of Imaan (Faith) and Taqwa (Piety). However, if people do not repent then ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala opens onto them the gates of all things i.e. all the comforts and luxuries, even as they are rejoicing in that which they have been given, ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala seizes them suddenly, leaving them no hope of ever recovering the bounties they have lost.

In order to save oneself from the punishment of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala, one must perform actions, that will earn the pleasure and love of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala. The wise individual realises these facts. The one who ponders these facts can easily become a pious person, an obedient slave of ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala, a true Muslim, a true human being and a merciful person towards mankind.

May ALLAH Subhaanahu Wa ta'aala enable us to apply our best efforts, with sincerity to become a true follower of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the seal of prophet hood and the best person ever seen.
